This is a totally independent GardenAction opinion of Dobbies Garden Centre in Dunfermline, Scotland.
In common with many of the modern Dobbies garden centres, the outdoor
plants area lacks any design effort. It is simply a set plant bays separated by wide
paths. No attempt to make it interesting at all.
The plants themselves are in good condition and well-watered, hardy plants have a five year guarantee. Signs are reasonably good allowing you to locate specific plants easily. Plants are in alphabetic sequence within type.
A good proportion, about 35% of he outdoor area, is covered from rain.
Dobbies make a big thing of their "Greenhouse attraction". An impressive building it
surely is but in reality it is just an information centre.
