Cafe at Dobbies, Milton Keynes

The aquatics centre at Dobbies offered an excellent range of fish, fish tanks, accessories and feeds. We asked the staff a few test questions on setting up an aquarium. The answers were informative and correct. The advice was offered in a very friendly manner. We particularly recommend this aquatics centre.

A vast amount of the sales area at Dobbies, Milton Keynes is devoted to gifts, cards, books and other non-gardening items.

This even extends to selling a variety of cookware as the picture on the right shows. We prefer that garden centres stick mainly to gardening items. But that is just our opinion, many people find the huge range very attractive.

The delicatessen at this branch of Dobbies was larger than most and stocked a huge range of cheese, preserves wines and other goodies.

The butchers was well stocked with a variety of unusual meats. The staff were very well-informed about the meats they were serving.

The cafe was attractively laid laid out with different seating types. Lots of comfy looking sofas for those wanting just tea / coffee and cakes.

There was a good range of sandwiches, toasties, paninis and salads.

Four main meal specials were also served from �7 to �8 per serving. The food was on display so you could see exactly what was on offer before ordering. Soup of the day and a roll was delicious at �3.95.

Service was prompt and pleasant. Although the atmosphere was a bit like an airport cafe, it was more appealing than many other Dobbies cafes.
