This is one of Dobbies smaller and longer established garden centres. It is a more traditional garden centre compared to the normal Dobbies superstore appearance of the modern ones.

PLANTS AREA

The range of plants stocked at Dobbies Garden Centre in Paisley include most gardener's favourites. Limited space means that there are no specialist areas to note. All hardy plants come with Dobbies' well known five year guarantee. They all looked to in good condition . The layout of the plants area was in a pleasant and informal manner. There is a small covered area stocking seasonal plants but the majority of the area is uncovered.

INDOOR SALES AREA

The indoor sales area stocks a wide range of plant feeds, tools and general garden accessories and this will meet the needs of the vast majority of gardeners.

Dobbies at Paisley also stock cards, gifts, games, barbecues and garden furniture. The general layout of the indoor area is unremarkable but sufficiently informal to encourage browsing.

CAFE

The cafe area is separate from the outside area and gave a bright and airy appearance. The decor is basic with plastic tables and chairs but the atmosphere is homely and friendly. They serve a full breakfast up to 11.30am at �4.95. Other meals are mainly of the snack type including hot potatoes (�4.25), paninis (�4.50), baguettes (�4.50) and toasties at �4.25. There is also a good range of cakes, teas and coffees. The prices were about average with quality being good.

There were no queues at the cafe and hot food was served to your table by pleasant staff.

HOUSE PLANTS There was a good range of house plants, well displayed and they looked very healthy. Prices were about average.

DISABLED ACCESS
Disabled access was reasonable both indoors and outdoors. There was however some small areas which were cobbled but not significant enough to cause problems for wheelchair access.

SUMMARY
A pleasant and friendly garden centre which should meet the gardening needs of Paisley well. The cafe is basic but clean, friendly and with helpful staff.
