HOUSE PLANTS
For a medium sized garden centre, there was a good display of houseplant for sale.
They were all in good condition and the prices were about average. They were displayed in an attractive manner.
AQUATICS AND PETS
It's unusual for a medium-sized garden centre to have an aquatics centre, but Grasmere have one. There was a reasonable range of fish and accessories on offer.
CAFE
Brambles Cafe at Grasmere Garden Centre was pleasantly laid out
and adequately furnished. There were no queues when we visited and
service was pleasant and quick. Main meals are served to your table.
Snacks and main meals were on offer. Jacket potatoes (�4), toasted sandwiches (�3.60), salads (�4.65), sandwiches (�4-5) all looked good. Main meals were around �4 to �5 which represents excellent value.
The food we tasted was definitely home made, the Cottage Pie particularly tasty.
DISABLED FACILITIES Wheelchair access was in general good. As stated previously though, the outdoor area is on a slope which might be difficult for some, but OK for most.
TOILETS Not tested!
CAR PARKING
The car park was level and dry with sufficient parking spaces.

satisfied here. The cafe is pleasant and serves tasty home made food.
